Manuel Corniel is the WW Big Data Sales Executive for Data Explorer. He has been with IBM since the acquisition of Informix in 2001. He started with IBM as a Sales Specialist for Central America & Caribbean. Manuel moved to manage OEM Channel sales (2003-2004) and WW DB2 Sales (2005-2006). In 2007, Manuel was promoted to WW Informix Sales Leader. In 2010, he took over as WW Sales Leader for InfoSphere Warehouse. He has a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from Pace University and an MBA from the University of Miami. Prior to joining IBM, Manuel began his career in 1996 with Informix Software Miami as a Technical Support engineer. In 1999, Manuel moved from technical support into a sales consultant role.
