Michael Simmons, Territory Sales Manager for Ruckus Wireless, is responsible for overseeing sales, customer service and support in AZ and NV.

After working for three years with the FBI in Washington, D.C., Simmons moved west to work on his master’s degree and developed his first interest in technology.  He worked with the National Association of Cellular Agents (NACA) to develop software that would help cellular agents reconcile activations against the carrier to ensure accuracy.  In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he became a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

With more than 25 years in the technology industry, Simmons has worked with manufacturers, value-added resellers (VARS) and ultimately started his own integration company, MAS Enterprises, in 1987.

In 2004, in anticipation of Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) becoming a mainstream technology, he launched a separate company, Protocall Communications, which specialized in hosted VoIP services and IP Communications and in 2008 he sold the company.

Simmons earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a master’s degree with a concentration in theology from the California Graduate School of Theology.
