Bio

Judy is senior vice president of IT infrastructure and operations for Starz Entertainment. She is responsible for managing the corporate IT and web facing infrastructure, which includes the web infrastructure, network (WAN/LAN & wireless), systems, storage and telecommunications. She is also responsible for the Service Desk/Help Desk, Desktop architecture and engineering, and IT Procurement.

Prior to Starz, Batenburg was an IT director at IHS, overseeing global operations, help desk, infrastructure and IT program management. She started her career at AT&T Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies, where she oversaw the development and deployment of Lucent’s global network and system management environment.

She has given numerous industry presentations on BYOD, organizational change, managing your career and managing global infrastructures, and was also interviewed on the MSNBC show “Pick of the Week,” for a segment that highlighted small business success stories. She also lends her leadership skills to others, by participating in the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Mentoring Program where she has mentored women in technology, and volunteering for the CSIA Women in Technology mentoring efforts.

She was selected as one of ComputerWorld's Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2013, and is a co-chair of the Colorado Technology Association's Women in Technology group.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
