Joel T. McKelvey is the Director of Infrastructure Solutions at Pure Storage. He has a deep background in data center infrastructure technology, including experience as a virtualization architect, data center engineer, and technical consultant. A part of Pure Storage since its early startup days, he is currently responsible for solution development and marketing efforts for converged infrastructure, virtualization, VDI, and cloud.
Mr. McKelvey has spoken internationally on the topics of data center technologies and the transformation of IT at numerous conferences and events. He is the author of several technical and strategic whitepapers related to virtualization, storage, and data center infrastructure. He is the co-author of two technical reference books.
Mr. McKelvey has over 20 years of experience in high-tech serving in an engineering, marketing, and strategic capacity. He is Cisco and VMware certified, holds masters degrees from Columbia University and UC Berkeley, and serves on the boards of several non-profit and for-profit corporations.
