Michael Farnum is the security advocate for Accuvant. His responsibilities are to provide expert assistance to practice managers in the development of all of Accuvant's security service offerings, design of go-to-market strategies and messaging for those offerings, and assistance in creation and implementation of the social advocacy plan for Accuvant. Mr. Farnum has nearly 20 years of Information Technology experience, with the majority of the last decade focusing solely on Information Security.

Prior to moving into his current role, Farnum spent five years as a senior security engineer for Accuvant in the South Central region, where he provided advice and assistance to many private and public organizations on their security strategy. Before joining Accuvant, he was the information security manager for an internationally prominent psychiatric clinic, where he developed and implemented the information security program. He was also founder and owner of his own IT and Security Consulting company, where he worked with several clients to design and implement secure infrastructure designs, and he was a senior security and network engineer for another consulting firm based in Houston, TX.
